i have ubuntu right now and im nottt that satisfied with ubuntu, i mean like its ok i guess but im looking for different linux distros. shud i get linux mint?
well if your using ubuntu with gnome then i suggest you try Mint with KDEKDE is more user friendly then gnome
kk ill try out mint but what i dont get is whats gnome and whats kde? like isnt it just like 1 version like windows or sumthing?
watch my new KDE 4.4 videoKDE vs Gnome is like Mac vs Windows in interfacethey are very different looking user interfaces
ah ok i think i get the diff. and ill watch it now
wow! i just watched that vid kde 4.4 looks amazing! but where do i download the kde with the linux mint? like i know how to boot it up and install it and all but i just need to know where linux mint and kde are
on the linux mint websitei cant post weblinks in youtube comments sorryits under community editionsand it comes with KDE 4.3 so u would need to update it to KDE 4.4 after install
its alright and i got it downloaded anyways but i cant find a blank cd thats like 1.7gb or higher cuz i got a couple that are 700mb
Linux Mint is definitely a lot more user friendly in many ways. Easier to use and a lot more fun. Look up Compiz Fusion (previously named Beryl).
